Getting started
What should I bring to my first visit at Alivio?
Bring a photo ID, any claim number you have, copies of forms you filed (such as a CA-1, CA-2 or an employer's injury report), any CA-16 your agency issued, your attorney's contact information if you have one, and a list of your medicines. Learn more

Which Alivio clinic should I go to?
Whichever is closer to your home or work. Our McAllen clinic is at 1913 S 1st St, Ste 200, and our Harlingen clinic is at 1709 S 77 Sunshine Strip, Ste C. The same team, forms help and records serve both. Learn more
Federal employees
Does OWCP pay for physical therapy?
OWCP pays for medical treatment, including physical therapy, that is needed for an accepted work-related condition and prescribed by your treating physician. Learn more
Does OWCP reimburse mileage to medical appointments?
Yes, for an accepted claim you can request a refund for travel to medical appointments using Form OWCP-957A for mileage. Keep a record of each trip. Learn more
Can a Border Patrol agent or CBP officer be treated at Alivio?
Yes. Border Patrol agents, CBP officers and every other federal employee hurt on the job are covered by FECA, and you can choose Alivio as your treating provider. Learn more
My old work injury is acting up again. What do I do?
If an accepted injury comes back and you need treatment or miss work, you may need to file a Notice of Recurrence on Form CA-2a. Call us and we'll help you decide. Learn more
Texas work injuries and accidents
Is Texas workers' comp the same as federal workers' comp?
No. Texas workers' comp covers private-sector and Texas public employees and is overseen by the Texas Department of Insurance. Federal employees are covered by FECA through the U.S. Department of Labor. Learn more
Can I be treated after a car accident if I don't have a lawyer?
Yes. You can be treated with or without an attorney, using auto insurance, health coverage or self-pay. If you have an attorney, we can treat under their letter of protection. Learn more
Do you offer care for patients without insurance?
Yes. Our direct primary care service offers simple tier-based pricing for families and individuals without health insurance. Learn more
